(New Dublin, ON.) – Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing an investigation where a County Road 29 collision claimed the life of one female.
On the 8th of December 2014 at about 5:20 p.m. Leeds O.P.P. officers were called to a collision on County Road 29 between Woods Road and New Dublin Road, Elizabethtown – Kitley Township, Leeds County.
A southbound vehicle driven by 45 year old Tammy ECHLIN of RR4 Brockville crossed the centre line and collided with a northbound vehicle, driven by 56 year old Cheslyn CURRAN of Addison. A third vehicle that was also northbound, driven by 52 year old Lynn Woodward of Athens, struck the Curran vehicle. Curran was pronounced deceased at the scene, Echlin was taken to hospital in Brockville with non-life threatening injuries, while Woodward sustained no injuries.
A portion of County Road 29 remained closed until 2:00 a.m. to allow for the investigation. O.P.P’s Technical Traffic Collision Investigators assisted Leeds Officers.
The investigation continues.
