(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated an incident at a King Street, Delhi, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Saturday, March 5, 2016 at approximately 12:39 p.m., police attended an address in Delhi after being contacted by a citizen reporting that a male was banging on the door of a residence.
The male fled from the area and was arrested a short distance away and taken into custody.
The accused complained of injuries and was transported to an area hospital, treated and released.
As a result of the investigation, police have charged 32-year-old Christopher John THOMPSON of Norfolk County, Ontario with the following offences:
Fail to comply with conditions of undertaking
Fail to comply with probation order
Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
The OPP has notified the province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate. As a result the OPP will not be able to provide any further information. Any other inquiries should be directed to SIU Communications at (416) 622-2342.
