(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On Friday, April 7, 2017 at approximately 9:30 pm, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) spotcheck at the intersection of Highway 589 and Highway 102.
Officers stopped a vehicle and spoke to the driver. It was determined the driver had been consuming alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to the Thunder Bay OPP detachment for further tests.
Thomas SEBASTIAN, 59 years of age, from Gorham Township was arrested and charged with:
-Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs of Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on May 12, 2017 to answer to the charges.
