(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On April 6, 2014, at 3:30 a.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a collision involving a GMC SUV at Highway 40 and Cedar Hedge Line.
While officers were speaking with the driver of the SUV, 28 year old Thomas PRYOR, from Chatham, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages.
Subsequent tests indicated that he was over the legal limit and will appear in a Chatham Court on April 29, 2014, to answer to the following charges:
Driving While Ability Impaired, under the Criminal Code of Canada
Driving With More Than 80 mgs of alcohol in Blood, under the Criminal Code of Canada
Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance, contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
