Thomas MURRAY 119 in a 60

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A recent traffic stop has led to a Racing charge against a young driver from South Huron. On August 4, 2014 at approximately 8:20 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a GMC Jimmy travelling on Dashwood Road at a high rate of speed. The officer confirmed his observations with a RADAR device and determined the vehicle was travelling at a speed of 119 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was conducted and the 20 year old male driver, Thomas MURRAY from Huron East was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. His driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days. He will have to attend Provincial Offences Court – Goderich to face the charge.
