(Bracebridge, ON) – On May 4th 2015, members of the Bracebridge detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation into a series of threats made by Thomas Lustvee of Bracebridge, who had earlier that same day been involved in a suspect apprehension pursuit in the Aurora area. Lustvee was located driving on Highway 11 in Gravenhurst at approximately 3:45 p.m. that same afternoon and ultimately Bracebridge OPP members engaged him in his second suspect apprehension pursuit that day, near Simcoe Road 169 in Washago. The pursuit was ultimately terminated due to safety concerns related to changing road and weather conditions.
Police requested the assistance of the public in locating Mr. Lustvee and his vehicle and on May 5th, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. Lustvee turned himself in to Bracebridge OPP.
58 year-old Thomas Lustvee has been charged with:
Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm CC 264.1(1)(a)
Uttering Threats to Damage Property CC 264.1(1)(b)
Flight from Police CC 249.1(1)
Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle CC 249(1)(a)
Race a Motor Vehicle HTA 172(1)
Driving while Under Suspension HTA 53(1)
Lustvee was held in custody and will appear in Bracebridge Bail Court on May 6th, 2015.
