(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Thursday November 6, 2014 Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was made aware of a theft of a canoe from Dwight Beach Road, Lake of Bays Twp. Sometime between November 2, 2014 and November 5, 2014 unknown culprits entered the Corbett Cove Resort and removed a canoe. The canoe is described as 16.6 feet, Longford Prospector Model valued at approximately $1400.00.
On Friday November 7, 2014 Huntsville OPP was made aware of a theft from a motor vehicle that had taken place sometime between October 31, 2014 and November 6, 2014 on Helen St., Huntsville On. Taken from the vehicle were cash and a Toshiba laptop. It is believed that the vehicle was not locked during the week.
With Christmas being only a few weeks away, Huntsville OPP would like to remind residences to place their shopping items in the trunk, or not visible to would be thieves. To take all valuables in their house and to lock their vehicles at all times
