(KENORA, ON) On Monday April 10, 2017 at approximately 10:30 a.m, members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a theft of gasoline from a store on Lakeview Drive.
A short time later, police observed the suspect vehicle in a parking lot in Boys Township on Highway 17.
The male driver and female passenger were arrested for Theft under $5,000. Upon further investigation it was determined the suspect vehicle was stolen along with a camping trailer and other items.
As a result of this investigation, Jacqueline WHEELER of no fixed address, age 31, has been charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code:
Possession of break in Instruments x 2
Mischief Over $5,000
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 x 3
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 x 2
Theft under $5,000
Jason KORNYK of no fixed address, age 38 has been charged with:
Possession of break in Instruments x 2
Mischief Over $5,000
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 x 3
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 x 2
Theft under $5,000
Obstruct Peace Officer
Fail to Reply with Recognizance
They appeared in Kenora court on April 11, 2017 to answer to the charges.
