On Wednesday, September 18, 2013, members of the Guelph Police attended to a Taggart Street business for a theft of vehicle. Between September 12 and 19, 2013, a 2012, 12 foot long dump trailer, black in colour, bearing Ontario licence J3117S was stolen. The trailer is valued at $10,000.00.

On September 14, 2013, Guelph Police reported a similar occurrence from a business on Elizabeth Street. That entry occurred overnight when culprit(s) entered the fenced yard and stole a
truck and a scrap metal bin valued at over $180,000.00. The truck is labeled Benmet Steel and Metal on both doors and has the number R36 on both sides
