(Municipality of Trent Lakes ON) – On Monday June 7, members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a theft from at a trailer on South Salmon Lake Road.
At some time between June 5 and June 6 unknown persons attended a seasonal residence located north of Cavendish, in Peterborough County. The suspects then attempted to steal a tractor at the residence and after driving it a short distance damaged the vehicle and left it in the drive of the property.
The suspects then broke into a trailer that was parked on the property and forced open a locked storage area, from which they stole 4 firearms.
None of the firearms have been recovered at this time.
Missing Firearms:
1. 16 gauge bolt action Mossberg shotgun
2. 12 gauge single shot Baikal shotgun
3. 7mm Bolt action Savage rifle
4. 303 cal. Bolt action Parker-Hale rifle
