(SEVERN TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Friday January 24, 2014 the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted by the general manager of the Orillia Canadian Tire store advising that the store was investigating an internal theft. At that time, the Orillia OPP with the assistance of the general manager conducted an investigation into the theft.
On Thursday, February 6, 2014 members of the Orillia OPP Detachment and the Orillia Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at an address on Walker Avenue in Orillia.
Two males were arrested during the execution of the warrant and a quantity of stolen property was recovered.
Tyler GABOURIE, 20 years old of Orillia, has been charged with 8 counts of Fraud Under $5000 and one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000.
Stafford QUINLIN, 40 years old of Orillia, has been charged with 10 counts of Fraud Under $5000, 5 counts of Theft Under $5000 and one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000
Both males were released on a Promise to Appear and have a court date in Orillia on Tuesday April 1, 2014 to answer to the charges.
