Theft and Arson – $60,000 Loss

(Napanee, ON) On September 1st, 2013 Napanee OPP responded to a report of a theft and arson at a property on Meach Road in Greater Napanee.

The property owner discovered his 40ft sea container had been broken into and set on fire.

Greater Napanee Fire Services assisted with the investigation and believe that the fire was set sometime in late August.

The culprit(s) removed an assortment of tools and property.

There was no insurance on the container and property estimated to be valued at $60,000 was destroyed by the fire.
