(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) –Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to attend a residence on King Street in Buford, in The County of Brant at approximately 10:15 a.m. on 21 March 2016 for an issue between a landlord and a tenant.
OPP officers attended and conducted their investigation. During the investigation officers discovered that the tenant was growing marihuana in his apartment.
County of Brant OPP along with members from the West Region Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) and members of the West Region Criminal Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at the residence.
OPP have charged 35-year-old Kyle SWAYZE of the County of Brant with production of a schedule 2 substance under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date to answer to his charges.
