TELKA – Drunk Driving, Drugs, etc

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On March 7, 2016, just before 8:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a driving complaint of a Ford Taurus driving erratically on Highway 401 westbound near Orford Road.

Officers located the vehicle and stopped it. While the officers were speaking with the driver, 35-year-old Bryon TELKA, from Windsor, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages. Subsequent tests indicated that the driver was over the legal limit.

Further investigation at roadside resulted in the seizure of a small quantity of suspected marihuana.

He will appear in a Chatham court on April 7, 2016, to answer to the following charges:

Driving With More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol In Blood

Possession of Marihuana

Drive Motor Vehicle With Open Container of Liquor

Novice Driver – B.A.C. Above Zero
