Teen’s On ATV Arrested

(SAUGEEN FIRST NATION, ON) On Wednesday September 4, 2013 while patrolling the Saugeen First Nation a Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Operator without a helmet and carrying a passenger. The officer signalled to the driver to stop and the driver sped away. The operator subsequently lost control of the ATV and rolled. The two occupants fled the scene.

The OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit (K9) were called in to assist with locating the parties.

Both parties were subsequently located. A 15 year old and 18 year old were arrested and released, charges are pending.

The OPP continue to investigate this incident, further information to be released as available.
