(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment has charged two males with Drug Possession after stopping a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act offence at a Haldimand Hwy #56, Empire Corners, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Saturday December 12th, 2015 at approximately 1:20 am an officer was conducting R.A.D.A.R. patrol on Hwy #56 when a black 2003 Ford pickup truck appeared to be exceeding the posted speed of 60 kilometres per hour.
As result of the observation and confirmation of the R.A.D.A.R. the pickup truck was stopped for speeding. During the investigation a beverage containing alcohol and a quantity of illegal drug (marihuana) was located and seized.
Charged with Possession of an illegal drug (Marihuana) and Race a Motor Vehicle is 19 year old Bradley PARISH of Flamborough Township, ON. Also charged with Possession of an illegal drug (Marihuana) and Having Open Liquor is 19 year old Callum MACQUEEN of Hamilton, ON. Both are to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
