Taxi Stolen

(ORILLIA, ON.) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the theft of a local taxi cab.

On April 15, 2015 at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Orillia OPP was contacted by an Orillia taxi company who advised that one of their vehicles had just been stolen from the business office. Police attended and spoke with the complainant who advised that they left the vehicle running while they went into the office and when they came out they realized that it had been taken.

The vehicle was located a short time later less than a half a kilometre from where it was stolen.

The OPP would like to remind the public to make sure that they shut off their vehicles and lock their doors when they get out of their vehicles.
