(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) -On February 15, 2014 at approximately 8:53 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was watching southbound traffic on Highway 6, south of Laird Road, Guelph. A 1999 Toyota was observed traveling at a high rate of speed and the officer obtained a speed of 140 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
The driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Tai MAI age 39 of Vaughan is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on March 19, 2014 to answer to the charge.
