(NORTHERN BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) –The Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged four people for liquor offences in the area of Tackaberry Street, in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.
On January 15, 2016 at 11:25 p.m., while conducting foot patrol, police observed two people sitting on a snow bank behind the Lions Head Arena consuming alcohol. A 49-year-old male from Northern Bruce Peninsula was charged with having alcohol in an open container. A 34-year-old female from South Bruce Peninsula was charged with having alcohol in an open container.
On January 16, 2016 at 01:10 a.m., police observed two intoxicated males approach the front entrance of the Lions Head Area. A 27 year-old male from Arran-Elderslie Township, pulled a can of beer from his sleeve and opened it in front an unmarked cruiser with a police officer sitting inside. The male was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and having open liquor. A 32-year-old male from Arran-Elderslie was also charged with being intoxicated in a public place. Both males were uncooperative with Police and subsequently arrested and held till sober at the Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
