(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment want to remind all Norfolk County resident’s about home security after police were contacted by a concerned resident at a Woodstock Avenue, Long Point, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, March 30, 2014, at approximately 12:13 p.m., a resident contacted police after observing a suspicious black coloured vehicle. The vehicle was observed driving slowly through the area with a lone male driver.
The licence plate on the vehicle had been covered with a plastic bag preventing the vehicle from being identified. The vehicle was last seen travelling westbound on Woodstock Avenue.
The OPP would like to take this opportunity to remind all residents of the importance of locking all windows and doors to residences, garages, barns and keeping a watch for suspicious persons and vehicles.
If you see suspicious persons or vehicles, try to obtain as much detail as you can, write down the person(s) description, the type of vehicle they are driving and the licence plate number.
Then don’t delay, call the police and report it. 1 – 888 – 310 – 1122 will put you in contact with the nearest O.P.P. Communications Centre to report the activity. OPP (677) on your cellular will also work.
