Suspicious Vehicle Call Leads To Arrest In Port Stanley

(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) – On October 3rd, 2016 Elgin County OPP responded to a suspicious vehicle call in Port Stanley, ON. The vehicle, a 2002 Grey Oldsmobile had pulled into a driveway on Edith Cavell Blvd. around 7:30p.m.

An alert homeowner contact police as this vehicle was not recognized from the area.

Police located the female driver on the beach area. It was determined that the 42 year old female from London, ON had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Middlesex County. The female was wanted for failing to appear in court in regards to an assault charge.

The female was arrested and turned over to Middlesex OPP without incident.

Elgin County OPP would like to thank the homeowner for being aware and contacting police when seeing something suspicious in their neighbourhood.
