(Douro Dummer Township, ON) – On Saturday, October 4, at approximately 5:00 a.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a suspicious fire at a residence that on South Bay Road.
Early Saturday morning Douro Dummer Fire Department was called to fight a fire at a vacant residential property. Fire Investigators notified the OPP that the fire circumstances appeared suspicious and the Ontario Fire Marshalls Office was notified.
Members of the OPP Forensic Identification Services and the Crime Unit initiated a joint investigation with the Fore Marshals office in order to determine the cause of the fire.
The fire is seen as suspicious at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
