(POWASSAN, ON)-On Tuesday, November 25, at approximately 4:45 a.m., the Powassan Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was advised of a house fire on Wilson Lake Road, Port Loring. The Argyle Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire. The house was vacant at the time of the fire and completed destroyed.
An investigation is being conducted by members of the OPP Powassan detachment and OPP North Bay Crime Unit. Assistance is being provided by the Ontario Fire Marshalls (OFM) office. The origin of the fire is suspicious in nature, and the investigation is continuing.
