Suspicious Activity Call Leads to Drug Arrest

On September, 24, 2015 at 3:47 p.m., Guelph Police were called to a business in the north end, where there was a report of a possible fraudulent transaction. Police approached a vehicle thought to be involved and found two individuals in possession of a controlled substance. As a result of this investigation, a 22 year old Cambridge man was charged with obstruct police and possession of a controlled substance. He has an October 30, 2015 court date. Also, a 41 year old Cambridge man was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a prohibited weapon, breach of weapons prohibition order and breach of his probation order. This male was held for a bail hearing.

Male Arrested for Multiple Thefts

On September, 24, 2015 at 8:15 a.m. Guelph Police attended to a downtown location, where a victim of a break and enter stated there was an unknown male downtown, with their property. Police located the suspect male and learned that this male was wanted for a shoplifting incident that occurred on September 18, 2015. Further investigation revealed that this male was in possession of stolen property stemming from two separate incidents. A 20 year old Guelph male was charged with theft under $5000, two counts of possession of stolen property and breaching his probation order. He was held for a bail hearing.

Impaired / Over 80 Arrest

On September 25, 2015 at 12:53 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop involving a motor vehicle on Edinburgh Road. Police spoke with the male driver and determined he was impaired by alcohol.

Kevin Macneil, 36 years of Guelph has been charged with impaired driving and over 80. He will appear in court on October 9, 2015.
