(MISSISSAUGA, ON) – Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Highway Safety Division (HSD) – Port Credit Detachment, are investigating a two vehicle collision involving an impaired driver in Mississauga, Ontario.
On Thursday, July 28, 2016, at approximately 8:46 p.m., the OPP received a call of a serious two vehicle collision on Highway 403 westbound east of Winston Churchill Boulevard, in the City of Mississauga.
Officers arrived at the location and as a result of the investigation formed grounds that the female driver of one of the vehicles was impaired by alcohol. Further investigation revealed that the motor vehicle she was driving was reported stolen.
The female driver, identified as Leslie MARACLE, 36 years of age from Six Nations of the Grand River, was placed under arrest for impaired operation of a motor vehicle and transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The male passenger of the same vehicle, identified as Allister CORBIERE, 35 years of age from Sudbury, Ontario, and the driver of the second vehicle, were also transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Leslie MARACLE was subsequently charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operate a motor vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and drive while under suspension.
Allister CORBIERE was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.
Both individuals were later released and are scheduled to appear in court in Brampton Ontario, on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.
