(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On June 26, 2017, at approximately 8:00 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single Motor Vehicle Collision (MVC) in the area of Nissouri Road and Wyton Drive, Municipality of Thames Centre.
A grey Hyundai vehicle was travelling southbound on Nissouri Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a small bridge abutment. The vehicle came to a stop on the roadway. The driver was uninjured.
Officers determined that the 38-year-old male driver of the vehicle had consumed alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests. The test results determined that the driver’s blood-alcohol level was more than two (2) times the legal limit.
As a result of the police investigation, Warren ROBERTSON, of London, has been charged with Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) and Driving While Under Suspension, pursuant to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on July 27th, 2017.
