(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 26, 2015 at approximately 10:44 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) officers conducted a R.I.D.E. program on Wellington Road 39, Guelph-Eramosa Township. A northbound 2005 Mazda stopped short of the R.I D.E. program and turned around. Police attempted to stop the car to check the sobriety of the driver. The vehicle quickly accelerated to avoid police and was eventually stopped on Elmira Road, Guelph. The occupants were arrested and during the search, a firearm was found on the male driver along with ammunition. A bag was found in the car that contained tools which can be used to commit a break and enter. It was also discovered that the vehicle was stolen and he was not following several conditions imposed on him by the courts.
A male passenger was arrested and during the investigation, it was learned that he was not following a condition placed on him by the court, and he was not following a condition placed on him by police from a previous incident that he was charged with.

Use Plate Not Authorized For Vehicle-H.T.A.
The passenger 44-year-old Ivan BREKALO of Guelph has been charged with;
Fail to Comply with Probation Order-C.C.
Fail to Comply with Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge-C.C.
They appeared in Guelph Bail Court on November 27, 2015.
