Suspended Driver From Dundalk Charged

(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On January 18, 2017 at approximately 3:40 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a 2002 Buick vehicle on Main Street East, Dundalk, in the Township of Southgate.

The officer detected an odor of alcohol emanating from the driver. After observing three large bags containing various alcoholic beverages directly behind the front passenger seat, the officer determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside breath test was conducted which the driver passed.

Further investigation revealed that the driver was suspended from driving. He was issued a Notice of Suspension for unpaid fines.

John William O’DONNELL, age 54, of Dundalk, was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for driving a motor vehicle with liquor in open baggage under the Liquor Licence Act (LLA).
