(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On September 8, 2017 at approximately 4:08 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a driver after he was observed talking on a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle eastbound on Elizabeth Street in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
Once stopped, the officer determined that the driver of the 2002 Ford Escape had been drinking alcohol and that he was a suspended driver for unpaid fines.
43-year old Brian Gordon EAGLES of the Municipality of Grey Highlands was charged with Drive with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood; Driving While Under Suspension and Drive Motor Vehicle on a Highway While Using a Hand Held Wireless Communication Device.
He was served a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
He is scheduled to appear in Court in Owen Sound on October 5, 2017.
