(SOUTH-WEST OXFORD TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft of fuel from storage tanks on a rural property on Union Road in South-West Oxford Township at approximately 12:23 a.m. on October 15, 2014.
OPP located the suspect vehicle a short distance away and arrested 3 males. As a result of investigation OPP also recovered stolen property from a theft earlier this month.
As a result of police investigation, 20 year old Dylan VANDEWIEL of Blandford-Blenheim Township, a 17 year old male youth of Woodstock and a 17 year old male youth of East-Zorra Tavistock Township were each charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:
Theft Under $5,000
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada (2 counts)
Possession Break-In Instruments
The males were all released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on a future date. The 17 year old youths cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
