(ATHOL WARD, ON) – On September 11th, 2016 at approximately 7:48 AM, members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a collision on County Road 11 in Athol Ward. The caller indicated that an SUV had left the roadway and driven into the ditch. An investigation determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol prior to driving. There were no injuries.
33 year old Sumit GAJJAR of Kingston ON has been charged with Driving with More than 80mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood. He was released on a Promise to Appear. He was also served with a 90 day ADLS driver’s license suspension. He is due to appear in the Provincial Court of Justice, Picton ON October 12th, 2016.
