Sultan PEERZADA – Stunt Driving

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) On January 30, 2015, members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were patrolling Highway 69 in Archipelago Township. At approximately 10:30 p.m. a southbound white SUV was observed travelling at a high rate of speed and as a result was stopped for “Stunt Driving”.

The driver, Sultan PEERZADA, 22 years of age from Sault Ste. Marie has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario (HTA). His Ontario Drivers Licence has been suspended for seven (7) days and the vehicle he was operating was impounded for seven (7) days.

The driver was served a summons requiring him to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on March 17, 2015 to answer to the charge.

Every person convicted of Race a Motor Vehicle is liable to a fine of not less than $2,000 and not more than $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than six months, or to both, in addition to his or her driver’s licence being suspended.
