(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – Today at approximately 7:23 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call regarding a possible carbon monoxide leak at Con Cast Pipe, an industrial business located on Brock Road in Puslinch Township.
OPP attended along with Guelph-Wellington Emergency Services (EMS) and Puslinch Fire and Rescue Services. Six people were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment – one semi-conscious and five with minor symptoms.
The Ministry of Labour has been notified and will be attending. The plant has been temporarily evacuated and the investigation is still ongoing at this time. The type of gas has not yet been confirmed.
