Stunt Drivers Charged

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On September 24, 2016 at approximately 12:15a.m., a member of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting patrols in the Town of Parry Sound. He observed a person operating a motor vehicle cause the tires to squeal and lose traction with the pavement. A traffic stop was conducted.

The driver of the motor vehicle, Cynthia BATTLE, 42 years of age from Parry Sound was charged with driving motor vehicle – perform stunt – cause tire to lose traction, contrary to the HTA.

She will appear before the Parry Sound Provincial Offences Court on November 1, 2016 to answer to her charge.

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On September 25, 2016 at approximately 1:17p.m., a member of the West Parry Sound OPP was conducting speed enforcement on High way 69 in Henvey Township. The officer observed a motor vehicle passing other motor vehicles and traveling more than 50 km/h over the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted.

The driver of the motor vehicle, Bruce BEAMER, 47 years of age from Toronto was charged with Stunt Driving – Excessive Speed greater than 50km/hr. over the speed limit contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. (HTA)

He will appear before the Parry Sound Provincial Offences Court on November 22, 2016 to answer to his charge.

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On September 25, 2016 at approximately 5:50p.m., a member of the West Parry Sound OPP was conducting speed enforcement on Highway 69 in Henvey Township. The officer observed a motor vehicle traveling at more than 50 km/h over the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted.

The driver of the motor vehicle, Ovidiu FLOREA, 50 years of age from Milton was charged with Stunt Driving – Excessive Speed greater than 50km/hr. over the speed limit contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. (HTA)

He will appear before the Parry Sound Provincial Offences Court on November 22, 2016 to answer to his charge.
