(LEEDS, ON.) – A traffic stop in Rideau Lakes prompted a Toronto driver to call 911 to report that police had stopped him for speeding.
On the 26th of May 2016 at about 10:30 PM a member of the Rideau Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a stunt driver on Highway 15 near Crosby. The driver was exceeding the speed limit by 56 km/hr.
As a result of the drivers actions the vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
The upset 20 year old Toronto man demanded that he be driven to Kingston by police. He was told he would be driven to a safe place in Smiths Falls. He then called 911, not once but twice, to report his concerns. Eventually he did agree to go to Smiths Falls.
He is scheduled to answer to his charge on the 6th of July 2016 at Brockville Provincial Offences Court.
