(LAMBTON, ON) – On Tuesday August 23rd, 2016 at just before 4:00 p.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to Grand Bend Beach, Grand Bend, ON regarding a male party who was just rescued from the waters of Lake Huron.
Lambton County OPP along with Lambton County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and Grand Bend Fire Department responded to the Grand Bend main beach area. Upon arrival, emergency responders located a 21 year old male who was pulled from the waters of Lake Huron after experiencing distress. The male party was initially breathing but went unconscious and unresponsive once pulled up onto the beach. An on duty life guard and an off duty paramedic initiated CPR and was able to successfully revive the male party. The male party was then transported to hospital by EMS for further medical treatment.
The identity of the male party is being withheld at this time pending contact with the victims’ family as male party has been identified as an international student studying in Ontario from another country.
