(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On September 18, 2013 at 3:05 p.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) , Thames Centre Fire Department and London-Middlesex Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a structure fire on Marion Street in Thames Centre just east of Hamilton Crescent in the Municipality of Thames Centre.
The fire is still active and police have closed public access to Marion Street between Hamilton Crescent and Ron Allen Drive for public safety and the safety of all responders. Marion Street is expected to be closed for a three to four hours.
The cause of the fire has not been determined and the investigation is continuing.
Middlesex OPP is asking the public to avoid the area until further notice.
