(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 20-year-old male after police investigated an incident at a Main Street, Waterford, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Friday, August 28, 2015, at approximately 9:53 p.m., police observed a motor vehicle and motorcycle racing northbound on Main Street . The officer attempted to stop the vehicle and motorcycle however they fled from the area at a high rate of speed. Officers later located the motor vehicle rolled over in a field on Concession 6 at County Line.
As a result of investigation, police have arrested and charged 20-year-old Jesse Melville Lee YOUNG of Norfolk County, Ontario with the following offences.
Public Mischief
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
Flight while pursued by Peace Officer
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle while street racing.
He will appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
Police are continuing to investigate and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the operator of the motorcycle. The motorcycle is described as a black coloured sport bike. If anyone has information they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
