Stormont Dundas Press Releases

(South Glengarry, ON) – On May 11, 2016 at approximately 10:44am Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers intercepted a motor vehicle on County Road 34, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana from the two occupants.

Investigation also revealed that the male youth was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident. The male youth also verbally threatened officers at the location.

The 17-year-old male driver of Saint Clet, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Utter threats

– Fail to Comply with Sentence (YCJA) 6 Counts

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

The 18-year-old Female passenger of Saint-Polycarpe, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

Both were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on July 6, 2016. The name of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

BREAK IN

(South Stormont, ON) – On May 11, 2016 at approximately 12:49pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded a report break-in at a residence on Adam Dixon Avenue, South Stormont Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight May 10-11, 2016 culprit(s) forcibly entered a garage and removed a quantity of electronics and alcohol.

An investigation continues.
