(South Dundas) – On May 24, 2016 at approximately 3:50 am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Merkley Street, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult female and her husband resulted in the male causing damage to her property.
The 33-year-old male from South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with one count of mischief.
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall June 14, 2016.
His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
ASSAULT
(North Stormont) – On May 24, 2016 at approximately 9:15am Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in North Stormont Township. Investigation revealed that an adult male had assaulted an adult female.
The 33-year-old male of North Stormont was arrested and is charged with one count of assault.
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall July 05, 2016.

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(North Glengarry) – On May 24, 2016 at approximately 3:50 pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Bishop Street, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between two adult females and another female which resulted in the female victim being threatened. One female was also in contravention of previous release conditions by contacting her ex-boyfriend during the altercation.
The 18-year-old female from North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Uttering Threat
– Causing a Disturbance
– Fail To Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking ( 3 counts)
She was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall

The 21-year-old female from North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with one count of Uttering Threats.
She was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria July 06, 2016.

CHARGES LAID – BREAK-IN AND ROBBERY
(NORTH GLENGARRY) Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a male in relation to an armed robbery that occurred on Tobin Street in the Town of Alexandria on November 29, 2015.
On this date, the homeowners confronted a lone male inside their residence, the accused struck the female occupant with a metal object and he then fled the scene. The victim was treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, on May 21, 2016, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Crime Unit have charged Nicholas BUTTON (31) of North Glengarry with one count each of;
– Break and Enter Dwelling House
– Robbery and Wounding
He was later released on a Promise To Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria July 06, 2016
THEFT OF TRUCK
(North Dundas) – On May 22, 2016 – SD&G OPP began an investigation into a report of a theft of a Pick-up truck from a residence located on County Road 43, North Dundas Township (Winchester). Investigation indicated that overnight May 21-22 2016, a Silver Birch 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, with a Personalized license plate “CUBBY” was stolen.
On May 24 2016 at 1:13pm SD&G OPP recovered the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado on Coulthart Road, North Dundas Township.
An investigation continues.
