(North Stormont) – On January 30, 2017 at approximately 6:10am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a mischief incident at a property on Valley Street, North Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male had damaged the windshield of an unattended vehicle.
A 31-year-old male from North Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Mischief Under $5000
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on February 28, 2017. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim (domestic related).
BREACH OF CONDITION
(South Glengarry) – On January 30, 2017 at approximately 2:01pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an adult male in breach of a condition imposed from a previous incident. Investigation indicated that he had communicated electronically with his ex-girlfriend.
The 21-year-old male from North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
BREAK-IN
(South Stormont) – Between January 20-29, 2017 – a garage at a property on Myers Road, South Stormont Township was forcibly entered. Inside, culprit(s) removed a Miller Model 140 welder, torch and tank set and two (2) Dewalt cordless impact guns.
An investigation continues.
