BREACH OF CONDITIONS
(South Stormont) – On September 19, 2016 at approximately 11:21 am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a youth breaching his release conditions in South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated a male youth was in contravention of previous release conditions.
Visuvvek THURAIRAJAH (18) of South Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
MISCHIEF
(North Glengarry) – On September 19, 2016 at approximately 1:38pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a youth causing damage to a property on St-Paul Street in North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that a male youth had damaged a building located on the property.
The 14-year-old male from North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
Mischief – Under $5000
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on November 10, 2016.
The name of the accused is being withheld as per guidelines of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
EXCESSIVE SPEEDS
(South Glengarry) – On September 19, 2016, a SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officer conducted speed measuring enforcement on County Road 2, South Glengarry Townships and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.
– September 19, 2016 – 2:42pm (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 113km/h (60km/h zone). Male driver (23) from Montreal, Quebec was charged accordingly.
