(North Stormont) – On 13Mar15, at approximately 3:00pm, SD&G OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on County Road 13, North Stormont Township.

The stop revealed the 25yr old male driver (Raymond LIMOGES Jr of North Stormont) had suspected marihuana in his possession.

The male was arrested and faces charges of:

– Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis marihuana – under 30grams

– Failing to stop at stop sign

– Failing to surrender his driver’s licence

– Driving a motor vehicle with an expired validation sticker

He is scheduled to appear 07April15 in Cornwall Criminal Court.

EXCESSIVE SPEED

(South Glengarry) – On 14Mar15 at approximately 8:07 am a vehicle was stopped on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township for speeding, 167km/h (100km/h zone). The 24yr old male driver from South Glengarry Township was charged accordingly. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit was seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

(South Stormont) – On 14Mar15, at approximately 9:45am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident that occurred at an address on Newington Main Street, South Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that a male and his 33yr old girlfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the female assaulting the male.

She was arrested and faces charges of:

– Assault

She is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Criminal Court 31Mar15.

DRUGS REVEALED AT TRAFFIC STOP

(South Glengarry) – On 14Mar15, at approximately 11:00am, SD&G OPP officers assisted a Ministry of Transportation Office (MTO) officer with a traffic stop.

The traffic stop revealed the 27yr old male driver (Evan PICKERING of Nova Scotia) and the 32yr old male passenger (Mark KING of Newfoundland) were in possession of suspected marihuana.

The driver and passenger were arrested and face charges of:

– Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis marihuana – under 30grams

The driver was also charged with:

– Driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available

The males are scheduled to appear 13May15 in Alexandria Criminal Court.

EXCESSIVE SPEED

(South Dundas) – On 15Mar15 at approximately 8:40 pm a vehicle was stopped on Highway 401, South Dundas Township for speeding, 162km/h (100km/h zone). The 35yr old male driver from Quebec was charged accordingly. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit was seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

BREAK AND ENTER

(South Dundas) – Between 15Mar15 12:30pm and16Mar15 4:30pm unknown suspects attended an address on English Road, South Dundas Township (near the Grenville Border) and attempted to steal an ATV from an outdoor shed without success.

ASSAULT

(North Dundas) – On 16Mar15, at approximately 4:10pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a neighbour dispute between two females from residences on Lafortune Drive, North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that the 33yr old female (Diane GROSS-CHENARD of North Dundas) had engaged in a verbal argument with her neighbour resulting in the female assaulting her neighbour.

She was arrested and faces charges of:

– Assault with a weapon

– Assault

– Break and Enter with the intent to commit and indictable offence

– Mischief under $5000

– Causing a Disturbance.

She is scheduled to appear in Morrisburg Criminal Court 12May15.

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(South Glengarry) – On 16Mar15, at approximately 5:10pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a male breaching his previous release conditions.

The investigation revealed that a 37yr old male from South Stormont was communicating with a female he was not to have any contact with.

The male was arrested and faces charges of:

– Fail to comply with conditions of Undertaking given by Officer in Charge

He is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Criminal Court 31Mar15.

EXCESSIVE SPEED

(South Glengarry) – On 18Mar15 at approximately12:09 am a vehicle was stopped on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township for speeding, 153km/h (100km/h zone). The 28yr old male driver from South Glengarry Township was charged accordingly. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit was seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

(South Stormont) – On 18Mar15, at approximately 4:50pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident that occurred at an address on Myers Road 5, South Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that a female and her 42yr old finance were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the male assaulting the female.

He was arrested and faces charges of:

– Assault x2

– Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm

– Overcome Resistance by Attempting to Choke

He is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Criminal Court 28April15.
