DRUGS SEIZED AT RIDE

(South Glengarry) – On March 23, 2015 at approximately 2:15pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check at an off-ramp of Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.

The male driver, Thomas ELMOURNE (28) of Laval, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Over 30 Grams

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on May 13, 2015.

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(South Stormont) – On March 23, 2015 at approximately 7:09pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Campeau Road, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a male and his spouse resulted in the male uttering threats to damage property.

The 51-year-old male was arrested and is charged with;

– Utter Threats – Damage Property

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on April 14, 2015.

STOLEN TRUCK

(North Glengarry) – On March 23, 2015 at approximately 8:24pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a stolen truck from a parking area at a business property on Main Street South in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that between 7:00 – 8:15pm, a black 2014 GMC Sierra, Carbon Edition 22, bearing Ontario plates AD14170 was stolen.

An investigation continues.
