(North Stormont) – On December 19, 2016 at approximately 6:35pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Chapel Hill Road, North Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and a family member resulted in an adult female being assaulted. Minor injuries resulted.
The 42-year-old male from North Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault
– Fail to Comply with Condition (previous incident)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
BREAK-IN
(South Stormont) – On December 19, 2016 between 7:00am and 7:00pm, a residence located on Santa Cruz Drive, South Stormont Township was entered. Inside, culprit(s) stole a Hewlett Packard laptop, Olympus camera, RCA tablet, brown leather London Fog jacket and a quantity of cash.
An investigation continues.
