DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(South Glengarry) – On September 1, 2015 at approximately 11:19am, Stormont, Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Station Street, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a male and his common law spouse resulted in the female being assaulted. Further information also revealed that the male had assaulted and threatened the female victim during a previous incident and had caused damage to the household.

The 21-year-old male from South Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault (6 counts)

– Assault with a Weapon (3 counts)

– Mischief (2 counts)

– Utter Threats

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

(South Stormont) – On September 2, 2015 at approximately 3:51am, Stormont, Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Colonial Drive Road, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a male and his spouse resulted in the female being assaulted.

The 70-year-old male from South Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on September 29, 2015. The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
