Stormont Dundas Press Releases

(North Glengarry) – On January 3, 2017 at approximately 9:12am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a male removing item from a parked vehicle at a property on Main Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. The accused was intercepted and arrested. Further information also revealed that he was in contravention of several conditions imposed from previous incidents.

Corey HELLIKER (30) of North Glengarry Township is charged with;

– Theft Under $5000 From a Motor Vehicle

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (9 counts)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

PERSONATION-DRUGS SEIZED

(South Stormont) – On January 4, 2017 at approximately 2:27am, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a pedestrian on Highway 138, South Stormont Township (St-Andrews West area). The accused provided the officer with false identification. A check of his true identity revealed that he was in contravention of several conditions imposed from previous incidents. Upon his arrest, quantities of suspected Clonazapan tablets were seized.

Shane BLANCHARD (27) of Cornwall, Ontario is charged with;

– Personation With Intent

– Obstruct Peace Officer

– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

– Fail to Comply with Recognizance (3 counts)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

DRUGS SEIZED

(South Glengarry) – On January 3, 2017 at approximately 2:54pm, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle on Boundary Road, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of quantities of suspected marihuana and cannabis resin (hash). Three (3) occupants (2 females, 1 male) in the vehicle were arrested.

Debby RUSSELL (52) of Dundee, Quebec, Cara BOYER (37) and Shawn PARE (36) both of South Glengarry Township are each charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)

All were released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on March 8, 2017.
