(North Glengarry) – On October 27, 2015 at approximately 5:23pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a male youth in contravention of conditions imposed (attend school) from a previous incident at a property on Main Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township.

The 17-year-old male from North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Recognizance – Young Person (2 counts)

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on December 9, 2015. His name is being withheld as per conditions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

(Stormont County) – On October 27, 2015 SD&G OPP officers conducting speed measuring enforcement in Stormont County intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. In all stops, the vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

– October 27, 2015 – 2:31pm; vehicle stopped travelling 153km/h (100km/h zone) on Highway 401, South Stormont Township. Male driver (37) from Toronto, Ontario charged accordingly.

– October 27, 2015 – 5:43pm; vehicle stopped travelling 149km/h (80km/h zone) on County Road 6, North Stormont Township. Male driver (25) from The Nation, Ontario charged accordingly.

– October 27, 2015 – 8:53pm; vehicle stopped travelling 139km/h (80km/h zone) on Highway 138, North Stormont Township. Male driver (37) from Ottawa, Ontario charged accordingly.
