(SD&G) – The Festive Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) campaign is in full swing. From November 23 to December 14, 2015, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a total of 62 RIDE checks at various locations throughout the United Counties. Three (3) drivers were charged with impaired driving and one (1) receiving a licence suspension – warn range. The initiative continues until January 2, 2016.
Residents are reminded to make smart and safe choices…alcohol and driving is a mix with serious consequences, plan accordingly!
THEFT OF SNOWBLOWER
(North Glengarry) – Between December 11-14, 2015 – a 2013 dark green Yardman 28” snowblower was removed from a property on St-Paul Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township.
An investigation continues.
