TWO CHARGED FOR FRAUD
(North Glengarry) – On January 14, 2016 at approximately 12:09pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of suspicious males at a commercial property on Main Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that one of the male suspects had provided false identity documents to an employee in an attempt to receive services. Officers intercepted a vehicle on County Road 34, South Glengarry Township shortly thereafter and arrested the two (2) adult males. A quantity of fraudulent documents was seized.
Alain MACK (49) of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec is charged with;
– Possess Forged Documents
– Attempt to Commit an Indictable Offence
– Fail to Comply with Conditions (15 counts – several previous incidents)
Luc CLOUTIER (57) of Montreal, Quebec is charged with;
– Forgery of Credit Card
– Personation with Intent
– Possess Identity Documents ( 2 counts)
MACK was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (January 15, 2016). CLOUTIER was released and scheduled to appear at the Alexandria courthouse on March 2, 2016.
DISTURBANCE
(North Glengarry) – On January 14, 2016 at approximately 8:07pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a commercial property on County Road 20, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male was disrupting other customers and yelling in public.
Eric MARTEL (51) of Longueuil, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;
– Causing a Disturbance
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance
He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (January 15, 2016).
